Welcome to the Culver City Centennial Celebration website.
Highlights from the Centennial Year so far…
Whether you are a long-time resident or just happened to stumble upon us, we are glad you have decided to visit and that you will often visit. We hope you will learn much about Culver City’s glorious past, vibrant present and limitless future through this website.
We are celebrating our Centennial beginning with our 100th birthday on September 20, 2016 and concluding our festivities on Incorporation Day on September 23, 2017. Our year-long celebration will highlight our theme:
Culver City – A Century of Change.
That was the motivation behind Harry Culver’s decision to find Culver City in 1917, halfway between downtown Los Angeles and Abbot Kinney’s Venice at a place where “All roads lead to Culver City.”
We are also using our Centennial to showcase the active civic, non-profit organizations, and companies located in the community and serve our residents. These businesses enhance our quality of life and have made Culver City such a unique place to live, work, learn and play every day for the past 100 years.
So please join us in our celebration. There are many ways to do so – sponsor an activity, attend an event, share your story and photos, become a volunteer Centennial Ambassador or even help donate to defray our costs. We can’t do it without you.
